Meet The Founder
My name is Florian Valot, and I bring a wealth of elite soccer experience to La French Touche. I founded La French Touche to create a platform specifically designed to pass my experience and learnings onto the next generation of soccer players, focusing on technical mastery, tactical intelligence, and a winning mentality.

A native of France, I honed my skills at two of the country’s most prestigious academies—Paris Saint-Germain and AS Monaco—before earning a Division I scholarship at Rider University. There, I made an immediate impact with 13 goals and six assists in just two seasons. After graduating with a Business Administration degree, I went undrafted but refused to let that stop me. I earned a trial with New York Red Bulls, fought for my place, and spent six seasons competing at the highest levels of American soccer, playing in both Major League Soccer (MLS) and the USL Championship. I played key roles in multiple clubs, including New York Red Bulls II's 2016 USL Cup victory and winning the 2018 MLS Supporters' Shield with the New York Red Bulls first team, a record-breaking season in which we finished with the best regular-season record in league history.
My journey has not been without challenges. In back-to-back seasons, I suffered two ACL injuries, forcing me to fight through grueling recoveries. Instead of giving up, I always came back stronger, proving my resilience and determination by returning to professional play. I have since continued my career with FC Cincinnati, Miami FC, and now Loudoun United FC. These experiences shaped me not just as a player but as a mentor—teaching me what it takes to overcome adversity, build mental toughness, and keep pushing forward no matter the obstacles.
What sets my coaching apart? I don’t just teach soccer—I teach what it takes to succeed at the highest level. My journey has given me first-hand experience in developing elite technical skills, overcoming setbacks, performing under pressure, and maintaining a professional mindset. My approach is rooted in the French soccer philosophy, emphasizing precision, intelligence, and creativity—key traits that define the world’s top players.
